What about DLS?

DLS (Dynamic Lighting System) is an ELS-style controller for non-ELS vehicles: per-vehicle XML configs with custom light stages and patterns, without touching vehicle extras. DLS vehicles still work as normal non-ELS cars when DLS is not installed, and DLS is not compatible with ELS vehicles. On FiveM servers DLS is typically paired with Luxart Vehicle Control or ULC for in-game control.

FAQ

Short answers for the questions this guide keeps receiving.

Which is better for performance?

Non-ELS vehicles usually have fewer dependencies and are lighter to run.

Can I mix both in one fleet?

Possible, but test light controller behavior before launch.

What is DLS?

Dynamic Lighting System — a customizable light controller for non-ELS vehicles, configured through per-vehicle XML files instead of extras. DLS vehicles keep working as plain non-ELS cars without it.

Is DLS compatible with ELS vehicles?

No. DLS is designed for non-ELS vehicles and there are no plans to support ELS models.
