GTA V Enhanced is the gen9 edition of the game. In July 2026 Cfx.re opened early access for FiveM on GTA V Enhanced: a separate client with an overhauled OneSync that supports up to 2,048 players per server.
- Custom vehicles built for Legacy (gen8) do not natively load on Enhanced — every YFT model and YTD texture must be converted first.
- Alchemist is the official Cfx.re conversion utility: it rewrites YFT, YTD, YDR and YDD assets from gen8 to gen9 format.
- Format checks are not enough: files with correct gen9 headers can still refuse to load in-game, so stores test each converted car on a real Enhanced client.
- Spawn names and meta files stay identical between Legacy and Enhanced versions — switching later means swapping the resource folder.
- Legacy support continues: server upgrades are not mandatory and Legacy/Enhanced clients run side by side with no cross-play on one server.
